TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

Tarangire is the home to the largest population of African elephants in Tanzania and boasts four of the Big Five.

Best time to visit: Whole year around - with Mid-April until Mid-June being rainy season
Getting there: Most safaris to this circuit start from the town of Arusha. The closest International Airport is Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO)

Boasting a variety of wildlife as diverse as its sceneries Tarangire National Park is a must see for any safari enthusiast.

Tarangire is the home to the largest population of African Elephants in Tanzania and boasts four of the Big Five. The tree of life, the Baobab tree is most commonly spotted in Tarangire which lives for up to 600 years.

If you don’t have enough time to travel into Serengeti National Park you should definitely visit Tarangire (sometimes referred to as “the little Serengeti” in Tanzania).
